The L'Artisan Jurassic is built around a genuine fossilised dinosaur bone dial. This is not a metaphor. The dial was once part of a living dinosaur that walked the Earth during the Late Cretaceous, some 66 to 68 million years ago, in the final chapter of the age of dinosaurs. Over unimaginable spans of time, the organic material fossilised into stone, creating a rich, textured surface with deep natural patterns that can never be replicated.

The material is sourced from the Hell Creek Formation of Montana, USA, one of the most famous dinosaur regions in the world. Bringing it to life in a watch has been both a technical and a creative challenge, and it remains exclusive to L'Artisan to this day.

A Rare Material, Refined

For this final execution, the dial has been taken as far as it can go. Applied Breguet numerals add depth and classical elegance, paired with a finely executed applied minute track that frames the fossil surface with precision. The contrast between ancient material and refined watchmaking creates something that feels raw and sophisticated at the same time: a dialogue between past and present.

With these fourteen pieces, that dialogue reaches its conclusion.

Why Only Fourteen

This is not a pre-order, and there will be no restock.

Fourteen watches. Fourteen dials, each cut from the same ancient stone, yet no two remotely alike. The fossil decides its own pattern; we simply frame it.

Once these are spoken for, the Jurassic will not return in this form. Future L'Artisan creations will explore new rare materials, but this dial, this design, this watch ends here.
